Bayt al-Emir 28mm scale North African terrain set

$120.00

Description

The Bayt al-Emir 28mm scale North African terrain set is the flagship terrain set for our North African terrain series. Based on first hand reference pictures taken in Egypt and artwork through out history. This ornate citadel/mansion has been designed to try to bring as much accuracy as possible to your historical game table. While the fully accessible interior may be elaborately engraved it is also fully playable. With many nooks, crannies and various forms of cover your 28mm miniatures can defend this structure for turn after turn. So get a handful of bad dates, a annoyed camel or two, and a cunning monkey to pair with this feel the sand between your toes Islamic well to do home.

The laser etched detail is such that light gradients of thinned paint over primed surfaces are almost all that is needed to bring this terrain kit to life. The set includes a series of scatter terrain that would be common for this type of building: a small fountain, found through out the middle east and north Africa in courtyards to cool the entire building, a cart, a square table, a long table, a bench and a roof top latticed porch. A series of 30mm wide stairs acts as the handle to lift out the inner floor of the living area and has a enough room for a 25mm based miniature to stand on. The small stone rooftop access building acts as the handle to pull the roof off. Also to complete the feel, 6 balcony/window boxes are included to attach to the face of the building with openings witch allow most 28mm miniatures to stand inside of them.

The main building itself measures about 7in x 9in with out the window boxes and stands 9.5in tall with the roof access building.

All international orders will be emailed a quote for exact shipping cost that will be added to our standard shipping charge as this a large heavy kit.

This kit is made in the USA by Ironheart Artisans from laser cut 2.5mm MDF and is a multi-part kit that will require assembly. The parts come completely cut and are NOT attached to a sheet that need to be punched out.

The painted example pictured is a prototype with certain differences from the model being sold. The unpainted kit shown is exactly what is included and how it is cut, we have made many improvements since the prototype.

Miniatures shown for scale only and painted by Robert Chandler, heads by Brigade Games and bodies from Perry Miniatures.

Full table shots are for scale reference only and to give you a idea of what is possible with our north african terrain range.
